Bill Neff counsels sophisticated businesses in the real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, shortline railroad, wine, and oil and gas industries, in all aspects of business transactions, tax and general corporate and operational matters. Bill’s corporate and tax practice routinely includes work related to mergers and acquisitions, asset purchase and sale agreements, securities issues, taxation, joint ventures, and executive compensation and separation agreements. He has represented many of his privately-owned business clients for decades, serving as a trusted advisor on all matters including succession and estate planning. Over the course of Bill’s practice, he has helped create many private equity and non-equity golf and recreational clubs throughout the United States and Europe. Bill often advises clients on real estate transactions, either as part of the client’s primary business or as an ancillary matter to their business operations.
Prior to attending law school, Bill served in the Navy in Vietnam. A founding member of the firm, Bill served as the firm’s Managing Director from 1985 until 1998.
