Julie Gifford represents clients with respect to a variety of real estate matters, with a particular focus on real estate finance. Julie’s real estate finance experience includes representing lenders and borrowers on commercial real estate construction and permanent loan transactions, including the financing of multi-family developments, industrial warehouse centers, office buildings, medical office buildings, senior living facilities and major shopping centers. She has also represented lenders on the financing of note purchases, including unique situations involving acquisition of notes in foreclosure.

In addition to real estate finance, Julie has experience representing landlords in the commercial office building context and developers in the acquisition of vacant land for commercial and residential developments.

Julie also enjoys mentoring young attorneys both professionally and personally and feels strongly that her own success is due in large part to the strong mentorship she received at Otten Johnson.
