Overview
Amanda Smith Greenberg is a commercial real estate and land use planning attorney whose clients include developers, owners, investors and tenants. A trusted advisor, Amanda represents clients in purchase, sale and development transactions, including mixed-use projects, industrial developments, large scale residential developments, office buildings, hotels, shopping centers and sports and entertainment stadiums and venues. She is an expert on title and survey matters and development approvals, helping clients navigate complex development agreements and infrastructure needs.
Amanda serves as Colorado and regional counsel for national retailers who acquire and develop commercial pad sites. This work includes a full spectrum of services from site identification, negotiating purchase agreements and long-term ground leases, to working with regulatory bodies to obtain permits and approvals. As part of this work, Amanda builds and supervises teams of attorneys and paralegals, who service sizeable real estate portfolios with many moving parts. She also represents both landlords and tenants in large commercial lease and ground lease deals across all sectors.
Amanda grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, obtained a B.A. in Government with a Certificate of concentration in Latin American Studies from Cornell University, and began her career as a legal assistant in the international trade practice group at a large Washington, D.C. law firm. She was later a clerk/intern for the Hon. Larry J. Naves at the Denver District Court.
Amanda co-founded the firm’s wellness program and is the past-chair of both the firm’s Wellness Committee and Attorney Development Committee. Amanda currently chairs the firm’s Marketing & BD Committee. She is also a current member of the firm’s Compensation Committee.
