Kyle Blackmer represents clients in a variety of real estate and real estate finance transactions across the United States. He currently focuses on representing both lenders and borrowers on a wide array of projects, including the finance and construction of commercial, mixed-use, hotel, multi-family and resort developments. Kyle also partners with clients in the acquisition, disposition and overall development of real estate, and has experience assisting landlords with their retail leasing.

In each case, Kyle focuses on using the right legal tools to help his clients achieve their business goals. His experience includes work on multi-family, retail, industrial, office, warehouse, and hotel, educational and senior living facilities across the country— from Arizona to Maryland and Washington to North Carolina. Kyle’s recent experience includes assisting a lender client with construction financing for a mixed-used resort development in a Colorado mountain community, assisting a borrower client with construction financing for a condominium project at a ski resort in Utah, and assisting a developer client with the sale and related joint venture development of property in southern California.

Before law school, Kyle was a researcher for Jim Collins, the best-selling author of Good to Great. A Boettcher Scholar, he serves on the board of directors for Out Boulder County. Kyle is also a graduate of the Leadership Fellows Boulder County leadership program.  He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado Law School, his alma mater, where he served as editor-in-chief of the University of Colorado Law Review and graduated with high honors. After law school, Kyle served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Judge Lewis T. Babcock of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.

Kyle is the chair of the firm’s Recruiting Committee and its Values Committee, and currently serves on the Executive Committee.
