Andy Peters represents clients in a wide range of land use and real property litigation matters, including development approvals, construction and real estate disputes and related appeals. His work includes representing clients in jury and bench trials on issues related to eminent domain/condemnation, sign regulation, fair housing and other Constitutional law matters, as well as in zoning appeals.

Andy’s past representation includes matters before state and federal trial and appeals courts, including the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as cases before regulatory and administrative bodies. As part of his experience with sign law and First Amendment matters, Andy has assisted local governments with reviewing and redrafting their sign codes. Andy works with clients of all sizes, from homeowners and small business owners to Fortune 500 companies and governments.

Before joining Otten Johnson, Andy served as an appellate law clerk to the Hon. William W. Hood, III of the Colorado Supreme Court, and as an intern for the Hon. Monica Marquez, also of the Colorado Supreme Court. While in law school, Andy served as the Managing Notes Editor for the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. Before practicing law, Andy began his career at a Denver-based public relations firm, where for several years he helped national and international clients manage their reputations before interested governments, competitors and the public.

Andy is on the firm’s Marketing & BD Committee and is chair of the Recruiting Committee.
