Overview

Lindsay Lyda represents property owners and developers in a wide variety of real estate and land use matters. Lindsay’s land use practice focuses on entitlement‑related matters such as annexation, zoning, subdivision, and vested property rights.  She has extensive experience with annexations and drafting and negotiating various complex entitlement agreements with a multitude of local jurisdictions. Lindsay regularly represents clients in public hearings and appeals for land use approvals and particularly enjoys helping landowners and developers navigate complicated entitlement processes.

Lindsay routinely represents property owners and developers in acquisition and disposition matters, often in parallel with the representation of buyer clients through the entitlement process. Lindsay’s clients primarily include commercial developers, home builders, and individual landowners.

While in law school, Lindsay interned with the Municipal Operations section of the Denver City Attorney’s Office. She gained further experience in local government-related issues as a student attorney in the law school’s clinical program. Lindsay also served as a teaching assistant for 1L legal writing and was an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review. Lindsay’s undergraduate studies included international land management and land use planning projects, exposure to which informed her interest in pursuing a career in land use law.
