Overview
Jesse Hodges represents lenders in commercial real estate finance transactions with particular expertise in multifamily property financing through the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting & Servicing program and the Freddie Mac Seller-Servicer program. Her practice encompasses all aspects of real estate loan origination and closing, including the drafting of loan documents and negotiating modifications for complex transactions involving affordability features such as bond financing, low-income housing tax credits (LIHTC), and tax exemptions and abatements.
Jesse’s comprehensive approach to transactions includes conducting thorough due diligence, reviewing entity organizational documents, title and survey materials, zoning reports, property management agreements, and third-party reports to identify and mitigate legal risks for her clients. Her experience extends to drafting and reviewing commercial leases, ground leases, condominium documents, purchase and sale agreements, and various tax and regulatory compliance reports.
Prior to joining Otten Johnson, Jesse practiced as an associate at a commercial real estate law firm in New York. Before entering law practice, she worked in risk and financial advisory services at a Big Four accounting firm, where she led the development of a comprehensive risk management framework for a major global asset management firm. This experience provides a valuable perspective in identifying and addressing transaction risks for her real estate finance clients.
