Overview

Chris Toll is a trusted advisor for his clients in the leasing, purchase and sale of real estate properties. For more than two decades, he has partnered with clients on a wide range of real estate needs across the country, including private equity investors, commercial and mixed-use real estate developers, and family-owned real estate investment companies.

Chris has extensive experience with leasing office, medical, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties. Chris also handles build-to-suit and ground leases.  His experience includes work on retail leasing, development and sales for various shopping centers, and developments with both retail and residential uses. Chris has also counseled large retail companies through the analysis of both purchasing and leasing new locations.

Chris’s experience as a leading leasing attorney complements his expertise in assisting clients with the acquisition, management and sale of complex real estate assets and portfolios. In this context, he represents clients in connection with office, retail, multifamily and hotel assets, as well as raw land.

As part of Chris’s transactional practice, he frequently negotiates joint venture agreements for entities that will own, develop and operate real estate projects. He also advises clients on transactional structures designed to preserve value for long-term real estate investment holdings.

Chris’ previous experience as a multi-year law clerk to a U.S. Bankruptcy judge in Nashville informs both his understanding of the high-stakes nature of his clients’ businesses and his advice in difficult financial times.

Chris currently serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
