Overview
David Brennan practices in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, lending, real estate finance and commercial litigation. Within his bankruptcy practice, David most often represents secured creditors, but he has also represented creditors’ committees, Chapter 11 debtors and trustees.
David has represented lenders in hundreds of commercial lending transactions, involving a variety of property types—office buildings, retail centers, multifamily projects and industrial properties. When remedial action is needed, David is able to effectively represent his clients on loan modifications, workouts and litigation arising from loan defaults.
As a trial and appellate lawyer, David has handled bench and jury trials and appeals in commercial cases before state and federal district courts, bankruptcy courts and state and federal appellate courts. His trials have involved disputes relating to lending, real estate, construction, mechanics' liens, design professional malpractice, business torts and copyright ownership.
David has been active in the firm’s management, having served on the firm’s Executive Committee for 18 years and as the firm’s Director of Finance for 12 years.
