Remembering Frank Robinson

frank

Frank L. Robinson, a co-founder of our firm and our great friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2016.  He was 73.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Denver College of Law in 1969, where he served as an editor of the Denver Law Journal, Frank began his legal career with Davis, Graham & Stubbs, where he became a partner less than five years later.  In 1985, he co-founded our firm.  Under his leadership, the firm quickly became recognized as one of the region’s leading real estate and land use law firms.  Frank’s practice encompassed all aspects of real property transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing and development.  He represented local and national real estate developers and owners in transactions in more than 40 states.  From early in his career, he was consistently recognized by business and professional associations and by his peers on various lists of “leading” and “best” lawyers in the state and nation who specialize in real estate law.  Among many professional honors, he was recognized by the Denver University Sturm College of Law in 2007 as its outstanding alumni practitioner.

Frank is survived by his wife Suzie, by his daughters Kari and Jennifer, and by five grandchildren, all of whom he adored, and all of whom adored him.

Frank Robinson was known, and will always be remembered, for his prodigious intellect and legal abilities, for his great personal warmth, and for his love of the law firm he helped create and all of its people.  We will miss him greatly.
