Our COVID-19 Coronavirus Response and Readiness

UPDATE:

We hope this finds you and your families doing well in light of the past few months of quarantine and uncertainty. We, at Otten Johnson, have stayed connected and strong as we work remotely to support our clients, friends and each other.

Today’s update comes as we begin allowing a limited number of employees to return to the office. In order to remain in compliance with City of Denver and State of Colorado directives and advisories, we are strictly limiting the number of people who will be in the space at any given time. We are enforcing social distancing, face mask wearing and other safety guidelines. At this time, we are not inviting clients and vendors to visit the firm. For the time being, we are encouraging all employees to work from home. We will continue to meet and work together virtually. Please continue to reach out to your firm contact via email or phone.

Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement with Otten Johnson. Please let us know if there are additional ways for us to collaborate during these uncertain times. And, we look forward to seeing you all face-to-face in the not-too-distant future.

Be safe and well.

March 24, 2020 Update: In response to the stay-at-home order issued yesterday by the Mayor of Denver, we have advised all of our employees to work from home. The office is, therefore, closed to the public until we receive the all-clear. At this stage, all of our attorneys and staff are working remotely and keeping in contact with our clients – and each other. Please continue to let us know of ways in which we can collaborate with you to keep things running as smoothly as possible.

March 13, 2020

Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends,

Like you, we are continually following the reports about the COVID-19 coronavirus and the threat it poses to our health, our community, and our livelihoods. We are reaching out today to let you know what we are doing to provide our clients with continuity of service. Our goal is to keep you informed of how we are managing our business operation and maintaining our commitment to client service.

Our plan is to keep our Denver office open and operational. If it becomes necessary to close the office, all of our attorneys and staff have the ability to work remotely. We are committed to continuing to work with our clients in a responsive and timely way, as well as to keeping our employees safe.

Like many other businesses, we are striving to protect our staff and visitors by curtailing travel and meeting/conference attendance, limiting access to our offices, implementing enhanced cleaning and providing sanitizing products, facilitating social distancing, and (when possible) we will be rescheduling non-essential gatherings or turning them into phone/online meetings. Please let us know of other ways in which we might collaborate with you and your organization to keep things running smoothly.

We will continue to closely track the guidance issued by Federal, state and local authorities at the recommendation of the CDC and WHO. As the situation evolves, we will update you with any changes to our current approach.

Please direct any specific questions you may have to the attorney with whom you regularly work. You are also welcome to contact Jim Johnson, our managing director, at jjohnson@ottenjohnson.com, or Michelle Maynard, our director of administration, at mmaynard@ottenjohnson.com.

Sincerely,
The Otten Johnson Executive Committee
